Davide Forè: a karting icon’s move to Bell Racing helmets

A karting icon – there’s no other way to define Davide Forè. After all, we’re talking about the most successful active driver in the discipline – and one of the most decorated in history – with five World Championships, three World Cups, and two European Championships among the many trophies in his cabinet. Since his competitive debut in 1985, Forè’s passion and hunger for success have remained unchanged, making him a living legend in the sport.

In 2025, Davide made a historic switch by beginning to wear Bell Racing helmets. “The helmet is an extremely personal item for a driver. After so many seasons with another brand, I was a bit reluctant to make a change, but after trying it, I changed my mind: the Bell Racing helmet is incredibly light and very comfortable,” Davide tells us. He chose the RS7-K Carbon model. “Even during very long race weekends – four days packed with sessions – I’ve never had any issues. The low weight really helps me stay in top shape through to the final stages of each event.”

The idea of switching to Bell Racing was boosted by his existing relationship with OMP, another Racing Force Group brand, which has long provided the Italian driver with advanced kartwear. “OMP has always helped and supported me impeccably. Now, having all my safety gear from the same source is definitely an added value,” Forè emphasizes.

At 51 years old, with a career spanning decades and experience as a development driver, Forè is naturally demanding when it comes to every detail, because that’s what it takes to excel. “When everything is just how you want it – comfortable and protective – you are in the ideal situation. As a driver, there are certain things I need to feel at ease,” he explains. “I don’t like shoes that are too stiff, and the sole shouldn’t be too high; the suit has to be soft but able to protect the knees; and gloves must be supple and breathable, even in the hottest races. With OMP, I’m really happy with everything I have.”

This season, Forè is a factory driver for Praga, a brand of IPKarting, and has already claimed standout results in the KZ2 Masters class of the European Championship and the Italian Championship – awaiting the defining moment. “The race of the year will be in October: the International Masters’ Super Cup,” Davide points out. He’ll have the advantage to compete at Franciacorta, his home circuit. The goal? To be on top of the karting world once again – this time, with a Bell Racing helmet.
